Kotodama

I visited a gallery called [KOTODAMA].
It was created by Noa Cloud of [REN].
The small gallery, seasonally surrounded by sunflowers, houses a few works, each one is exceptionally impressive.

Each piece takes a style of a slideshow, displaying shifting scenes, while poetic words woven by Noa appear and fade in turn.
The words are written in both Japanese and English, but the English is not a mere translation of Japanese.
Though they share the same theme, both Japanese and English texts were crafted from scratch.
Profoundly lyrical, bittersweet, and beautiful, his words fascinate viewers in alongside the images projected.
I love both Japanese and world literature and believe deeply in the power of words—so his gallery holds a special allure for me.

There are many galleries, both in SL and RL.
Yet most simply display paintings or photographs, rarely accompanied by literary expression.
I wish for more art that fuses imagery with words like this.

KOTODAMA means the soul that dwells in words.
Words carry a spirit within them.
I felt that truth anew.
